At that time, two frozen steamed buns and a pack of pickles were enough for a meal in order to save money." Recalling this scene, Debra still remembers it vividly.
But it is precisely because of this working experience in Shanghai that Focus and Debra got to know sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid). It is understood that at that time they operated more than 100 products around health food raw materials, cosmetic raw materials and chemical raw materials, among which sodium hyaluronate can be used in many fields and can be close to people's lives.
"I majored in computer science and is proficient in the Internet, and Debra majored in English and is good at communicating with international customers. We are a perfect partner in international trade." Focus jokingly said.
Based on this, Focus returned to Qufu in 2009 and established Qufu Focuschem Trading Co., Ltd., which is mainly engaged in the trade of health care product raw materials and cosmetic raw materials. In 2012, at the age of 29, Focus founded Shandong Focuschem Biotech Co., Ltd. (the former name of Focusfreda), and they decided to open a factory to produce their own series of sodium hyaluronate products. For him, this is an "adventure" where he clenched his fist and gambled all his fortune.

In 2012, several partners at the beginning of the business started to set up a factory. In just 7 months, Shandong Focuschem Biotech Co., Ltd. (the former name of Focusfreda) was successfully completed, realizing the goal of building a factory and putting it into production that year. Qufu Focuschem Trading Co., Ltd. was also able to further expand its original trading activity business.
At that time, the company had only one production line, only a hundred employees, and Focus lacked management experience. In 2013, the company encountered the difficulty of having goods in the warehouse but being unable to sell them. "If the goods are unqualified, we can't send them out. We can only send them back to the production workshop for re-production." Focus recalled that the company lost nearly 10 million in this incident, which also made him realize that "professional people should be allowed to do professional things. !"
Since 2013, Focuschem Biotech has continued to expand the staff in R&D, sales and other departments, from 100 to 400 today. In addition, the company established a research and development center in 2014 and rapidly developed into a key development department of the company. In 2017, it was rated as Jining City Functional Polysaccharide Engineering Laboratory.
In recent years, Focuschem Biotech has followed the national strategic development, increased the cooperation between industry, university and research institutes, and established industry-university-research cooperation relationships with Jiangnan University, Beijing Technology and Business University and many other well-known institutions. Among them, the joint laboratory has achieved a series of technological breakthroughs, and successfully developed new products such as enzyme-cut low-molecular hyaluronic acid and acetylated hyaluronic acid, and the fermentation yield has been greatly improved.

The company has entered a new stage of development, investing 500 million to build a sodium hyaluronate production project with an annual output of 520 tons. At present, the first phase of the project has started production. At the end of the year, Focuschem Biotech merged into Lushang Freda Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and changed its name to "Shandong Focusfreda Biotech Co., Ltd.".
Today, Focusfreda Biotech has become a scientific and modern high-tech enterprise integrating research and development, production and sales of hyaluronic acid. Food-grade and cosmetic-grade products are exported to 72 countries and regions around the world, and its output and sales volume are among the best in the hyaluronic acid industry.
